Sundays are my favorite day of the week if done right. I've made a long list of brunch places that I want test out. I'm spoiled with all of the great food in the bay area but sometimes it's difficult to get out of the routine of going to the same spots over and over. I finally ventured out of my comfort zone this weekend and I'm glad I did. Arbor is a cute little cafe/coffee shop located in the heart of Temescal, Oakland. They usually only have a few things on the menu which I kind of love. I was keene on the aesthetics and coziness of the space. I would sit and drink coffee and chat all day if I could.
After brunch I went bike shopping with my ultra bike savvy friend. Test driving nice bikes around the neighborhood and through the local parks was kind of the perfect way to spend the day. I swear the bike ended up picking me (harry potter wand style, ya'll). After some careful budgeting I'm going to scoop it up. I can't wait to share more details soon--it's going to be the most beautiful thing you've ever seen. I've even picked out a name!
